Hey Friends.
Today is a special day. Yes, it is election day (and I am voting) but it also marks the fifth month of my sons life. He is amazing in all ways. He is currently learning his D's. And unfortunately I think he might say Dada before he even attempts Mama. Bummer. He has started on solids. Well, rice cereal. We made it a big event; sat him in his chair at the table and feed him with a spoon. He was a bit perplexed at the whole event but seemed to enjoy all the attention. Of course at the end of the meal I let him play in it. What kid doesn't want to make a mess of his meal and wipe it all over his face and spill it all over the table? It was pretty cute and I got pictures galore.
He has done really well being "farmed out" (as his great paternal grandma would say- I was kind of offended by the remark but I digress) while I returned to work. Everyone has raved about what a good baby he is. And I will have to agree. We are beyond blessed and realize how fortunate we are to have such a fantastic baby. Mellow, happy, cute as can be and content. Couldn't be more blessed. I love this kid beyond belief and on a daily basis find myself truly in awe of how he grows and develops. He sits up now and takes in the world. Laughs and giggles. Talks all sorts of gibberish and already knows how to get our attention....fake cry and then laugh. I can't imagine these last five months without my little munchkin. He has truly fulfilled a void in my life I didn't realize I even had before we welcomed him into the world. Overwhelmed with joy and pure love on a second by second occurrence. I love being a mom and I love my little chunk unconditionally! Happy 5 months Love Bug. You rock my world!
A side note: I think this might be my last blog entry for a while...or possibly for good. I have lost that zest for writing. I am not really sure why I write other then I feel like it is an outlet for me creatively. But lately I haven't had the desire or felt like I really am spitting anything super exciting. So, I am taking a break. And yes, you are free to roam about. Maybe I will return and maybe I won't. Until then peace, love and laughter.
Cheers!
